Obituary of Carole Croft

CROFT, Carole Lynne
Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on Sunday August 3, 2025, at the age of 83 years.
Beloved wife of Donald Croft. Loving mother of Deanne Croft and Therese Croft. Cherished grandmother
of Isabella and Olivia Croft Richmond.
Carole is survived by her husband Don, her daughters Teri and Deanne, granddaughters Isabella and
Olivia, and sisters Glennis Brydges and Muriel Jeffries.
Predeceased by parents Ida (nee Coyne) and Walter Brydges; in-laws Isabelle (nee Haddow) and Thomas
Croft, and brother William (Bill) Brydges.
Carole enjoyed her work at the Wellington County Board of Education as well as John F Ross CVI and
Centennial CVI.
Carole loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Spain, Egypt, and Cuba, as well as solo trips to Hawaii and
China. She enjoyed fostering Monarch butterflies, cuddling with family cats and dogs, and collecting art.
Carole thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with the Red Hat Society. Carole was a talented seamstress
and made many of the clothes for Deanne and Teri as youngsters. Her green thumb was always on
display with her orchids and bougainvillea. Time spent with family and her granddaughters was always
both a priority and a joy for Carole. Her presence at family gatherings will be dearly missed.
As per Carole’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be scattered at Woodlawn
Memorial Park in a private ceremony.
