Obituary of Donald Bruce Friendship

FRIENDSHIP, Donald “Bruce”

Passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the age of 71.  Beloved husband of Ann (nee Seeley) Friendship; loving father of Emma and Audrey; and dear brother of the late Andy (d. 2023), Robert (Jennifer Caspers), Ruth (late Joseph Keller) and Joan (Alex Gray); and dear brother-in-law of Jenifer (Joseph) Fitzpatrick.  Bruce will be deeply missed by his nieces Charlotte, Martha, Ellen and Katie; and nephews Thomas, Jacob, Kevin, Peter; and great-nephew Rhys.  He will be remembered by all who knew him for his humour, his intelligence and his kindness.

As per Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Bruce loved being a part of the Hospice Wellington Pollinator Garden team.  For those who wish, donations in Bruce’s honour can be made to “Hospice Wellington Garden” and would be sincerely appreciated.

Bruce was a decent, honourable man who loved and protected his girls; who loved his family; who loved his garden and his fields; and who loved to laugh.

“We shall rise insensibly and reach the tops of the everlasting hills, where the winds are cool, and the sight is glorious.”

A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be held at Cutten Fields Golf Club, 190 College Ave E, Guelph on Saturday, November 15 at 12:00p.m. All are welcome.
