Obituary of Joan Roberts Mitges

Joan passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side. Daughter to Ruth McCray and Thomas Waddington. Loving wife to late Peter Mitges. Cherished mother to Jane Huisman (Mike), Wendy Dick (Ken) and Andor Tari (Miranda Dahl). Proud grandmother to Joshua Biggs (Caitlin Simpson), Kevin Dick, Michael Huisman, Clarissa Huisman (Jeff Boughner) and Jackson Dick (Taylor Holloway).

Great-grandmother to Oliver, Hudson, Owen and soon to arrive her fourth grandson. Also will be missed her younger sisters Betsy Waddington (Lloyd) and Susan Lazarus (Les) and younger brother David Waddington (Cindy).

Mom spent her life devoted to helping and bringing joy to people through her nursing career, as a Rotarian, volunteering with many organizations, through her art and her unwavering love of life and sense of humour.

Donations if desired can be made to Alzheimer’s Society and Animal Humane Society.

Rest easy Mom, we will love you forever.

Visitation and service will take place at Brombal Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph Ontario on Thursday May 29. Visitation at 12:00p.m. followed by service at 1:00p.m. Reception to follow.
