Obituary of Fern Eileen Wilson

WILSON, Fern Eileen (nee Clatworthy) 

Passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Laverne “Tuzz” Wilson (d. 2011); loving mother of Rick Wilson, baby Sharon Wilson (d. 1955), and Rod (Julie) Wilson; proud grandmother of Kiersten, Steve (Crystal) and Rob (Katie); and great-grandmother of Khrystyna (Tyler), Jessylin, Amelia and Rebecca. Fern will be deeply missed by her dear brother Bill (Christine) Clatworthy and family, and family friend Pete Phan. 

Aside from two brief stays in Owen Sound, Fern was a proud, life-long Guelphite. For 25 years, she was well-known as a friendly and reliable employee at Zeller's Customer Service Desk on Eramosa Road. In her senior years, outings, meals and visits with family gave Fern the most pleasure.  

Cremation has taken place. An interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. For those who wish, donations in Fern’s honour to a hospital or hospice of your choice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
