Obituary of Ingrid Hanna

HANNA, Ingrid (nee Langwost)

Passed at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Pvt. William Hanna (PTE RCASC d. 1999); loving partner of Alf Rodger (& his son Jeff Rodger); devoted mother of Joanne (close family friend Neil Nuttley), Larry (Brenda), late Brian (d. 2025), Bruce (Linda), Sandra (Jeff), Kevin (Cindy), Ken (Shelan), and Shawn (Beth); proud grandmother and great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Sigrun, late Gerd, late Gertrude, and late Ingeborg. Ingrid will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews both here in Canada and in Germany.

The family would like to thank her home-care team, especially Betty, and all the staff at Guelph General Hospital 6-West for all their care and support.

For those who wish, donations in Ingrid’s honour to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Update:

As we move forward with the recent loss of our dear Mother Ingrid Hanna and brother Brian Hanna, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11:00 -2:00 at the Guelph Curling Club 5-816 Woolwich St, Guelph N1H 6J2. Followed by a Graveside Service at 2:30pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 762 Woolwich Street, Guelph.
