Obituary of Nicole Piluk

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nicole Piluk on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the age of 73.

A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and Memère, Nicole is survived by her husband Gord, her children Dan (Amanda) and Stacy (Yoni), and her four cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Abby, Noah, and Bella. She also leaves behind extended family and a close community of friends and neighbours who will miss her deeply.

Nicole was fun-loving, generous, and deeply committed to the people in her life. Family meant everything to her—she always made time for others, never missed a milestone, and celebrated life’s moments big and small.

Her grandchildren knew her as Memère, a role she cherished. She cheered them on, spoiled them just enough, and made each one feel special and loved.

In her neighbourhood, Nicole was the person people turned to. Whether lending a hand, offering a meal, or simply being present, she made those around her feel seen and supported.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 27, from 11am to 1pm, followed by a service at 1pm and a reception at 1:45pm, at Brombal Funeral Home. For those who wish to view the service remotely, a livestream link is available here.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to donate.childrensfoundation.org/tribute - select "Food Security" and in special notes add "June Ave" —an initiative close to Nicole’s heart. She volunteered her time weekly to support local children and found great joy in being part of their lives.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
