Obituary of Leon Augustus Stewart

STEWART, Leon Augustus

Passed unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener on March 20, 2025 at the young age of 70. Loving father of the late Francis Stewart (d. Feb 24, 2025), Damian Stewart and Anthony Stewart. Proud grandfather of Malakai, Makairim, Mariyah and Antonia Stewart. Dear brother of Hazel, Evelyn, Headley, Michael, Claudette, Shauna, Phyllis, Chester and Stacy. Leon will be deeply missed by the many friends who have grown to be like family over time.

Leon filled his life with love for the outdoors, embracing every season the best he could; whether tending to a garden, going for bicycle rides or working with his hands. A hard worker all his life, he cherished time spent with friends, enjoying a drink and sharing stories; and of course, found excitement in the thrill of scratch tickets.

Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be taken back to Jamaica to be with his family.
